Stacking Rack

Click here for Stacking Rack Features and Performance.Click here for Stacking Rack Product Specification.Military Rackmount Cases were invented by ECS Composites in 1965. Proudly made in America, ECS transit cases have been the choice of American warfighters for over 40 years.

n 2006, ECS created the “Stacking-Rack” rackmount case...the ultimate in compact versatility. These rackmount cases provide mobile protection and ultra-compact set-up of field portable military electronic systems. They are ideal for use in small military shelters, shipboard compartments and military aircraft.Stacking Rack Military Rackmount Cases - In 2006, ECS created the ''Stacking-Rack'' rackmount case...the ultimate in compact versatility. ECS “Stacking-Rack” cases have removable, sealed TSC composite panels on all six faces of each rackmount frame. When the covers are removed using fast-acting rotary latches, the extremely compact racks stack together and mechanically lock together. When the covers are reinstalled, these rackmount cases are fully waterproof and transportable in military environments.

Stacking Rack Military Rackmount Cases In 2006, ECS created the "Stacking-Rack" rackmount case…the ultimate in compact versatility. These rackmount cases provide mobile protection and ultra-compact set-up of field portable military electronic systems. They are ideal for use in small military shelters, shipboard compartments and military aircraft.

Stackable Military Racks with Removable TSC Covers   ECS "Stacking-Rack" cases have removable, sealed TSC composite panels on all six faces of each rackmount frame. When the covers are removed using fast-acting rotary latches, the extremely compact racks stack together and mechanically lock together. When the covers are reinstalled, these rackmount cases are fully waterproof and transportable in military environments.

TSC Covers Reinstall and Seal with Racks Stacked TSC composite covers can be installed on stacks of racks without dismounting the racks. This offers the opportunity to fully or partially enclose an electronic system while maintaining an extremely compact footprint. With light-weight composite covers installed, ECS "Stacking Rack" cases are fully enclosed, waterproof, and sealed from sand, dust and chemical warfare agents. "Stacking Rack" composite covers have molded-in stacking features that allow sealed rackmount enclosures to stack together.

Quick Opening and Resealing Hardware TSC composite covers attach to the exterior surfaces of ECS "Stacking Racks" using ECS’ exclusive rotary latches, which are recessed into the covers. An O-ring seals the exterior knob and shaft of each latch to prevent moisture entry. ECS rotary latches do not use threaded studs, thereby avoiding the engagement of threads each time the latch is used. The ECS rotary latch has a cam-activated hook that operates on the inside of the case in a rapid draw-down action. ECS rotary latches engage stainless steel strikes on the interior of the "Stacking Rack" frame. As the knob continues to be turned, the latch pulls the cover tightly to the rackmount frame and compresses the cover gasket for a watertight seal.

Extremely Compact Workstations ECS "Stacking Racks" mechanically fasten together to create extremely compact workstations and data management systems. ECS "Stacking Racks" mechanically fasten together using heavy-duty stainless steel sliding-hook fasteners and vertical drop-locks. Fastening hardware also allows stacks of racks to be secured onto the floor of shelters, vehicles or aircraft. Stacks of racks can be rapidly assembled for equipment operation.

Racks Lock Together Vertical drop-locks are finger accessible from the outside of the rack. As the two drop-locks are lifted by an equipment technician, the top rack is able to slide forward to disconnect the sliding-lock fasteners. The top rack is easily lifted from the stack and fitted with its TSC composite covers. Stacks of racks can be rapidly disassembled for redeployment.

CEA-310-E Compliant Equipment Racks Stacking Racks are CEA-310-E compliant and are manufactured from precision machined aluminum extrusions. 19-inch, riveted aluminum racks provide multiple equipment mounting capabilities. Racks have threaded equipment mounting holes in front and rear vertical members and interior vertical rails for attachment of slides and brackets.

Unrestricted Equipment Operation Racks are stackable with covers removed. Stacks of racks allow the installation of covers on the exposed surfaces of the stacks to provide protection for equipment. With covers removed, electronic equipment is accessible from the sides, ends and top for ease of cabling and operation.

Ultimate Metallic/Composite Rackmount Hybrid Stacking Rack Cases are manufactured from compression molded TSC composite components and precision machined aluminum extrusions. Case covers are manufactured from ECS’ incredibly strong TSC composite. Using compression molding presses up to 1,200-tons in capacity, ECS manufactures these cases of the same composite materials used for car bumpers and military truck components. TSC case covers provide extraordinary impact resistance and rugged durability at temperatures which exceed a range of -65º F to +185º F.

Total Protection From The World’s Environments Water tight Stacking Rack cases provide protection from moisture, salt spray, sand and dust throughout the world’s climate extremes. Impervious to fuels, oils and solvents, they can also be decontaminated if exposed to chemical warfare agents.

Stainless Steel Hardware Exterior latches, handles, custom brackets and rivets are stainless steel and are recessed for maximum protection. Interior aluminum extrusions are anodized to prevent corrosion. An automatic air pressure relief valve protects the case and enclosed electronic equipment from rapid compression and decompression during transportation.

Range Of Sizes Stacking Rack cases are available in a limited range of sizes.

Equipment Weight Range Stacking Rack cases are designed for equipment weights up to 100 pounds.

Colors and Options Stacking Rack case covers are available in military colors and tan. Racks are anodized in either clear or black finish.
