Totally
Modular Rotomold Transit Cases
–
ECS has created another major innovation in transit case design with
modular Loadmaster rotomolded transit cases. For the first time in the
40-year history of rotomolded transit cases, a truly user-friendly set of
case sizes is available for military and commercial users. Loadmaster case
dimensions (length, width and depth) are calculated in multiples of the
ideal incremental dimensions for transit cases.
• Each case length is 4.2-inches larger than the next smaller case.
• Each case width is 4.2-inches larger than the next smaller case.
• Each case height is 4.0-inches taller than the next shorter case.
• Loadmaster case sizes purchased today will be fully compatible with
additional Loadmaster case sizes purchased in the future.
Modular Stackability of All Loadmaster
Cases –
Modular dimensions and unique stacking features molded into the top and
bottom surfaces of Loadmaster cases allow these cases to securely
interlock when stacked.
• Loadmaster cases work like a set of children’s building blocks. Two
12-inch high cases can be stacked together alongside one 24-inch high
case. A fourth case can be stacked over the tops of all three lower cases.
There are endless combinations of stacked blocks that can be created from
a set of children’s wooden building blocks. And, there is limitless
flexibility when stacking groups of Loadmaster modular rotomolded cases.
• The modular dimensions of Loadmaster cases allow identical stacking
features on one Loadmaster case size to interlock with the stacking
features on all other Loadmaster case sizes.
• Any Loadmaster case size can be rotated 90-degrees in the horizontal
plane and its stacking features will interlock securely with all other
Loadmaster case sizes.
•
Unusual groupings of Loadmaster cases efficiently fit onto 463L military
pallets. Modular dimensions for these cases were selected by ECS for
maximum utilization of the 463L pallet.
• Loadmaster rotomolded transit cases are also fully stackable with TSC
composite rackmount cases which are equipped with Loadmaster stacking
features.
Competitors’ Rotomolded Cases Designs
Are Obsolete –
Loadmaster Modular Cases™ provide major innovations in transit case design
that can’t be matched by the antiquated designs offered by ECS
competitors.
• Competitors’ cases aren’t modular. Non-modular cases weren’t conceived
as a family of related building blocks (similar to Lincoln Logs or Legos)
that would need to work together. Competitors’ cases don’t incorporate a
modular system of dimensions. Therefore, most rotomolded cases
manufactured by ECS competitors don’t fit together efficiently.
• Competitors’ cases of different sizes won’t stack together securely
because the stacking features of their cases aren’t modular. Each of their
case sizes has its own unique stacking rib design. Therefore, dissimilar
case sizes, with dissimilar stacking rib dimensions, don’t stack together
effectively.
• Competitors’ cases don’t efficiently utilize the surface area of 463L
military pallets. It’s easy to stack a group of identical cases onto any
pallet size, but combinations of different case sizes can only be
effectively stacked onto pallets using the Loadmaster modular system.
Total
Protection From The World’s Environments
–
Loadmaster transit cases are ideal for military applications which require
uncompromised protection from moisture, dust, sand and battlefield
contaminants. Water tight cases provide protection from moisture, salt
spray, sand and dust throughout the world’s climate extremes. Each case
has a water-proof gasket and an automatic air pressure relief valve.
Impervious to fuels, oils and solvents, they can also be decontaminated if
exposed to chemical warfare agents. |

Fast Container Opening and Resealing
–
All Loadmaster cases have stainless steel latches and handles. Loadmaster
latches permit rapid opening of sealed cases and rapid reinstallation and
resealing of covers without the use of tools. Exterior hardware is easily
field replaceable with basic hand tools. Exterior hardware is attached
with Nylock retained machine screws which thread into fully encapsulated
fasteners molded into the case walls during the rotational molding
process.
Foam
Cushions and Shock Mounts for Equipment Protection
–
Fabricated foam cushions are frequently used in Loadmaster rotomolded
transit cases to contain individual pieces of equipment and to provide
shock and vibration protection. ECS has sophisticated foam cushion design
and manufacturing capabilities which include CAD/CAM controlled foam
cutting machinery and water-jet foam cutting equipment. There are
virtually no limits to the range of foam cushion materials or the shapes
and sizes of fabricated foam cushions that can be manufactured by ECS.
Optional Features and Capabilities
–
Loadmaster cases are available with many options.
• Tote versions
–
Loadmaster rotomolded case sizes are available with tote handles and
casters. Loadmaster tote cases are modular in size so they are stackable
with all other Loadmaster transit cases and Loadmaster versions of TSC
composite rackmount cases from ECS.
• Folding casters
–
Long Loadmaster cases can be equipped with folding casters. These casters
are installed in the normal molded-in recesses on the sides of the case.
They can be unlatched, folded downward toward the end of the case and
latched in position for use. During case shipment or transportation, the
casters fold back into their recesses and are latched into place.
• Platform
versions –
Shock mounts are not the most common form of shock and vibration control
for standard transit cases, but ECS can install shock mounts and/or shock
mounted equipment platforms inside any Loadmaster rotomolded transit case.
Optional shock mount configurations and spring rates can be provided to
support a broad range of equipment weights and equipment
centers-of-gravity.
•
Colors
–
Loadmaster rotomolded transit cases can be manufactured in virtually any
color. However, most Loadmaster cases are manufactured in commonly used
military colors such as olive, desert tan, medium gray, black and earth
tone, and these are the case colors ECS keeps in stock.
Loadmaster Cases Shipped From Stock
–
Many stock case sizes can be immediately shipped from the ECS 42,000-SqFt
rotational molding facility, completed in 2005. Please refer to the
Loadmaster online purchasing website located at
www.ECSPolymerics.com.
Military Grade
–
Loadmaster rotomold transit cases exceed the requirements of military
specifications for transportable cases. Performance verification testing
to MIL-STD 810 is routinely performed at ECS Composites. |
